Hike from Kasern to the Adleralm
This easy hike begins at the large paid car park at the visitor centre in Kasern (1,595 m). From there, a well‑maintained, partly asphalted path or the picturesque Way of the Cross first leads to the famous Heilig-Geist-Kirche (1,619 m), whose legendary history invites a visit. From the church, the route continues along the bubbling Ahr river, through flowering alpine meadows with impressive views of the ice‑clad peaks of the main Alpine ridge.
After a pleasant stroll there’s a short, gently rising final section up to the Adleralm (1,700 m). The hike is pushchair‑friendly, though the last section may need a little help. At the top you’ll find a cosy mountain hut with a sun terrace, regional specialities, a playground and a small petting zoo.
